Flags lowered to half-mast at all City sites to honour the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

The flags at all City of Ottawa sites have been lowered to half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral (date to be determined), in honour of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away on April 9, 2021.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh dedicated his life to the monarchy, visiting Canada more than any other country during his years of service. Prince Philip was a constant at the side of Her Majesty The Queen, and his absence will be felt significantly by all members of the Commonwealth.

An online Book of Condolences will be available at during the period of mourning until sunset on the day of the funeral or memorial service (date to be determined).
