Heritage Day goes virtual this year

February 9, 2021
Feature Stories

Like many events, Heritage Day will look a little different this year. 2021 celebrations are going virtual!

Join us on February 16 at 11:30 am for a special broadcast followed by a live history quiz hosted by our partners, Capital Heritage Connexion.

This year’s event will be a nod to the 2021 theme, Resiliency: relying on our Heritage foundations to hold strong and help us pivot in a changing present for the wellbeing of our future generations.

We’ll be showcasing how our City museums displayed this resiliency and used creativity and flexibility to connect and engage with residents despite COVID-19 restrictions. Many of our community partners and community museums have also adapted their programming to meet the challenges of the global pandemic. You’ll hear some of their stories.

Our virtual Heritage Day celebrations speak to resiliency too. Despite the need to stay home, we are still managing to gather and celebrate our history and heritage.
