Kaleidoscope features Indigenous artists among new additions to City’s art collection

Mayor Jim Watson will open a new exhibit showcasing the newest additions to the City of Ottawa Art Collection. The exhibition, entitled Kaleidoscope, will be on display at the City Hall Art Gallery between December 6, 2018 and January 30, 2019.

Kaleidoscope presents a selection of artworks that entered the City of Ottawa Art Collection in the past year by way of a peer assessment process through purchase, donation and commission. The exhibition features 68 artworks representing 43 artists. Nineteen of these artists are new to the Collection.

Twenty of the artworks purchased in 2018 were by Indigenous artists.
