There is a new way to Try it! at Ottawa fitness facilities

If you are in the market for a fitness membership but you’re not sure what gym or activity is the right fit, then it is time for you to Try it! at an Ottawa recreation facility.

Try it! is a program that invites you to visit an Ottawa recreation facility three times, free of charge, to help you find the fitness program that is a good fit for you. And now, you can Try it! any time of the year.

Here is how it works:

Simply walk into any participating recreation centre and register at the front desk. Make sure you leave enough time for a quick tour of the facility. We want you to get the most out of your experience and without the tour, how else can you know everything that’s available to you?

Once you’re registered you now have 30 days to visit a fitness facility and try out:

  • an aquafitness class
  • group fitness classes
  • a squash or racquetball court
  • an indoor cycling class
  • weight and cardio rooms
  • public skating sessions

You get three visits at any participating recreation facility in the city – there are 23 of them in all - for free.

You have to be at least 13 years old and you cannot have held a fitness membership at a City facility in the last six months.
