November 2, 2018
Announcements and Events

Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:

Elgin Street: Hydro Ottawa work continues along Elgin Street between Gladstone Avenue and Somerset Street. On-street parking on both sides of Elgin Street is prohibited within these blocks. This phase of Hydro Ottawa’s work to bury overhead hydro lines should be completed in early November. Visit ottawa.ca/elginstreet to stay up to date on Elgin Street traffic impacts.

Highway 174: Until Monday December 31, westbound motorists on Highway 174 can expect intermittent lane closures during off-peak hours in the area east of Blair Road and along the Blair Road off-ramp. Construction will mostly take place on the shoulder of the road and surrounding area.

NCC pathway between Clegg Street and Herridge Street: From Monday, November 5 to Friday, November 23, the multi-use pathway along the east side of the Rideau Canal will be closed between Clegg and Herridge streets for construction. Detour signs will be in place. During off-peak hours, a flagperson will direct traffic on Colonel By Drive and Clegg Street.

Petrie Island: The closure of Petrie Island Bridge for construction has been extended to February 22, 2019. Access to Petrie Island is prohibited during construction.
