Reports

Recommendations Report
This report includes a proposed new ward map and will be considered at a public meeting, which will take place as part of the Corporate Services and Economic Development Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 commencing at 9:30 a.m. in the Champlain Room, 2nd Floor, Heritage Building, City Hall, City of Ottawa, 110 Laurier Avenue West.

Background Report
This report, completed by the consultants, provides basic background information for the Ottawa Ward Boundary Review and sets out those key principles that must be respected in designing future ward boundaries. The report reviews several specific areas to provide general direction for both developing options and selecting ward boundaries.

Report on Public Involvement - Round One
The following report, completed by the consultants (Dr. Gary Davidson and Beate Bowron), outlines the approach to round one of involving the public, describes who we heard from, how many people participated and summarizes what we heard. The report ends with some general conclusions and an overview of the next steps for the project.

Options Report
The purpose of this report, completed by the consultants, is to present a series of options that can be used to design a new ward system in the City of Ottawa, not make specific recommendations. This phase of the project seeks wide ranging public involvement prior to any recommendations being made to Council. The Options Report is for discussion and comment. Community groups, individual residents, members of Council and other stakeholders will be able to indicate preferred options and make specific recommendations for changes.
