Public Transit

The OC Transpo web site is the place to go for information about public transit routes, schedules, fares, PRESTO, Park & Ride, travel planning, and much more. You can also call 613-741-4390 (TTY 613-741-5280).

Fares and rates

  • Fares: Fare payment options for travel on OC Transpo buses and the O-Train.
  • Discount Fare Eligibility: Students under age 20 are eligible for discounted fares.
  • U-Pass: With the U-Pass, students at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa and Saint Paul University have the freedom of getting around without worrying about exact fare, buying bus tickets or their next monthly pass.
  • PRESTO Card : PRESTO smart cards are the easy way to pay. If you are a full-time student aged 13 to 19, you can set your PRESTO card for discounted rates.

Cycling

Did you know that in 2013 the City of Ottawa received the gold-level Bicycle Friendly Community Award? The city offers a variety of routes, segregated lanes, and pathways for people who enjoy cycling for recreation or as a healthy and non-polluting transportation option.
