Combined Sewage Storage Tunnel (CSST)

The Combined Sewage Storage Tunnel (CSST) is one of the most important projects of the Ottawa River Action Plan (ORAP). The CSST project will include the construction of two tunnels: an east-west tunnel through the downtown core from LeBreton Flats to New Edinburgh Park, and north-south tunnel along Kent Street from Catherine Street to an existing storm sewer outfall at the Ottawa River north of Wellington Street.
