Client Services

City of Ottawa Client Service Centres

As part of the City of Ottawa's reopening plan, the following Client Service Centres are now taking appointments to provide in-person services.

  • City Hall - 110 Laurier Ave West
  • Nepean - 101 Centrepointe Dr

Effective July 7, 2020, masks are required to be worn in indoor public spaces at City of Ottawa facilities as per the direction of the Medical Officer of Health. For further information on the use of masks in public spaces, including exemptions, please visit Ottawa Public Health’s website.

The following Ottawa Client Service Centres and Provincial Offence locations remain closed to the public.

  • Metcalfe Client Service Centre, 8243 Victoria Street
  • West Carleton Client Service Centre, 5670 Carp Road
  • North Gower Client Service Centre, 2155 Roger Stevens Drive
  • Provincial Offences Act Office, 100 Constellation Drive

Property taxes

You can pay your property taxes online by credit and Visa debit or through your financial institution.

You can pay in person by dropping off a cheque at one of the secure payment drop-boxes located outside the main entrances of the following locations:

  • Kanata Client Service Centre at 580 Terry Fox Drive
  • Orleans Client Service Centre at 255 Centrum Boulevard

Ensure that the amount on the cheque reflects the exact amount owing, and indicates the 19-digit tax roll number as shown on your tax bill. Note that payments are processed on business days only.

Water bills

You can pay your water bill online with My ServiceOttawa by payment card or through your financial institution.

Parking Ticket Review / First Attendance Facility

For provincial offences and parking ticket inquires (First Attendance), please contact 3-1-1, following the prompts.

Interpretation services

When calling the City of Ottawa, you may request the assistance of an interpreter. This service is available in more than 170 languages when you call one of the following numbers:

  • Tax and Water Customer Service Line: 613-580-2444
  • Social Services Intake Line: 3-1-1, select language, then 4

When calling a City phone line, you may ask to be placed in a three-way call with an interpreter and a City staff member. The interpreter will allow you to discuss services in the language of your choice.

Some products viewed through the store may not be currently in stock as our inventory is continually changing. To confirm availability, you can place an order request through the City of Ottawa's store. A Client Service Representative will contact you to let you know the availability of the item(s) you requested, and advise you of when your order will be ready to be picked-up at the Client Service Centre of your choice.

This service is currently not available in person due to COVID-19 closures.

  • Regrettably, on-line orders will not be shipped.
  • Payment is made in-person, at the time of pick-up of your order.

Refund/Return Policy

All sales are final. The City of Ottawa's  store does not provide refunds or returns for products ordered. Returns are only accepted in those cases where a product is defective, or if the product received does not correspond to the product ordered.
