Description

Tempus is made up of several undulating colour petals varying in scale, representing the movement of light from sunrise to sunset. The piece reminds us of the essential role of nature in our daily rhythms, greeting passengers from dawn to dusk. Cronin's artwork is inspired by time, movement and sustainability. Nature is a constant an essential predictor of time and this predictability is integral to the reliability of rapid transit. The directional arrows within the petals mirror the navigational system of pick-up and drop-off points. The abstract organic feel of the piece reflects the sustainability of intelligent transit systems.
