Visitors parking permits allow out-of-town non-residents (residing 30km or more outside the Nation Capital Region/City of Ottawa) to park in residential parking permit zones for a maximum of two weeks.

The applicant must complete an online application form and provide:
- Proof of residency
- proof of ownership, or
- copy of a lease - The lease must be dated and signed by the tenant and landlord, and should confirm there is no off-street parking available. If the lease is expired or does not contain information on parking, a letter from the landlord should be provided stating:
- the applicant is living at the above address, and;
- there is no off-street parking available at the address.
- Copy of visitors vehicle registration. If the vehicle registration does not show the visitors address, then the applicant must also provide the visitors driver’s licence for proof of non-residency.
Note: Residents of the City of Ottawa are responsible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit on behalf of his or her visitor.
