Mayor to host Annual Christmas Celebration at City Hall

Mayor Mark Sutcliffe will host the Mayor’s 21st Annual Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 9 at Ottawa City Hall in support of the Ottawa Food Bank.

Date: Saturday, December 9

Time:  2 to 5 pm

Location: Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West

Admission: Donation to the Ottawa Food Bank

Celebrate the festive season in the fresh outdoors and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus who will arrive from the North Pole and be housed in their very own outdoor cabin. Roast marshmallows around a campfire, enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, hot chocolate, and ice skate on the Rink of Dreams. You can indulge in delicious BeaverTails for only $2, with all proceeds raised going directly to the Ottawa Food Bank!

The fun continues inside with live entertainment in Jean Pigott Place.

The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Celebration is made possible by the generosity of many corporate sponsors.

In the spirit of giving and to help those in need, admission to this sponsored event is a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.

This is not a nut-free event. Dress for the weather as most activities will take place outside.

The Laurier Avenue Bridge will be closed on Saturday, December 9 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm for the Mayor’s Christmas Celebration. Access to the Laurier Avenue entrance to the City Hall parking garage will be via Elgin Street during this time. The Elgin Street entrance to the parking garage will remain open.
