Cascades Recovery+

Founded in 1964 under the Cascades brand, we produce, convert and market packaging and tissue products that are composed mainly of recycled fibers. Since its inception, the company offers sustainable, innovative and value-creating solutions in terms of packaging, hygiene and recovery. Cascades employs 11,000 people in more than 90 production units located in North America and Europe.

With its management philosophy, half a century of experience in recycling, and continuous efforts in research and development as driving forces, Cascades continues to deliver the innovative products that customers have come to rely on. Being part of Cascades means revealing the full potential of matter, people and ideas. We are a source of possibilities.

In Ottawa, Cascades has been serving the community for more than 25 years. We currently process all the curbside recycling produced by the City of Ottawa residents; from both blue and black bins, at two facilities on Sheffield Road. In 2016, we invested in state-of-the-art equipment in these facilities and the results were immediate. We now process more material, more efficiently, and achieve cleaner grades of material, than ever before. We sort and separate the material and ship it to mills to be reborn into something new. In addition to processing residential recycling materials, Cascades also collects, sorts, and recycles material from many of Ottawa’s commercial industries and businesses.
