Eastbound Montreal Road to close at Highway 174 June 23 to 26

The section of eastbound Montreal Road under Highway 174 will be closed from 7 pm on Friday, June 23 until 5:30 am on Monday, June 26 for Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction. Most on and off-ramps at Montreal Road and Highway 174 will also be closed, except for the on-ramp from Montreal Road eastbound to Highway 174 westbound. The westbound off-ramp that turns right onto Montreal Road will also remain open. At 8 pm on Sunday, June 25, westbound Montreal Road will close until 5:30 am on Monday, June 26. The following detours will be in place:

Eastbound detour

  • Turn right on Ogilvie Road
  • Turn left on Blair Road
  • Turn left on Innes Road
  • Turn left on Bearbrook Road
  • Turn right on St. Joseph Boulevard

Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm only: Westbound detour (follow the reverse direction)

  • Turn left on Bearbrook Road
  • Turn right on Innes Road
  • Turn right on Blair Road
  • Turn right on Ogilvie Road
  • Turn left on Montreal Road

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train East Extension, this closure is required to carry out necessary work to the roadway and associated infrastructure.
