Many properties sustained structure damage from the tornado that occurred on Thursday, July 13 in Ottawa. Tornado-impacted homeowners in Barrhaven may be eligible to cancel, reduce or refund part of their property taxes for the year.

If the structure on your property has been destroyed or damaged to the point that it is substantially unusable, or if tornado-related repairs prevent its normal use for at least three months, please contact Revenue Services at 613-580-2444 or email taxadjustments@ottawa.ca. You can also visit ottawa.ca to find the application form that tornado-impacted residents must submit by Thursday, February 29, 2024.
