50 years of memories

The Christmas Craft Show began in 1973 when, at the time, the Nepean Sportsplex opened its doors as the largest recreation complex in Canada. The Christmas Craft Show has been a regular event ever since and, though a lot has changed over the years, the Sportsplex remains the centre of attention within the community.

We’ve collected our favourite memories over the years and put them on display throughout the complex. Explore vintage photographs and other memorabilia to see how much – or how little – has changed in half a century.

Do you have a favourite memory of the Nepean Sportsplex or the Christmas Craft Show? Submit your story or photo from the last 50 years and be entered for a chance to win a prize. Submissions close on Thursday, November 30.
