Description
Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and originality, Alex Wyse emigrated from England to Canada in 1961, where he taught engraving to Inuit artists in Cape Dorset (Baffin Island). Wyse has exhibited in several solo and group shows across Canada, including the retrospective “Wyse Works: Exposing the Inevitable” at the Ottawa Art Gallery in 2011. His works can be found in numerous private and public collections including the Carleton University Art Gallery (Ottawa), the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto) and the Canada Council Art Bank (Ottawa).
