Ploughed Field: Hillside and Circuit

Circuit, a red mosaic, decorates the east platform. It depicts life below the earth’s surface using the colours and textures of rock and magma. The artist imagined that this mosaic would remind us of the electrical and biochemical circuitry in our own bodies.

Hillside, a green mosaic on the west platform, refers to a landscape rich with growth and vegetation. The artist planned each colour and pattern in a way that is meant to rejuvenate and relieve transit users from the station’s subterranean surfaces.
