Description

Skipping Stones reflects a peaceful underwater world filled with swimming loons, fish and beaver. Human forms represent the families, children and diverse groups in the community surrounding the Plant Recreation Centre. The artist writes that “My sculpture seeks to harmonize nature’s creations with the products of human industry, revealing something new and beautiful in both. The industrial material in each piece is equally as important as the natural subject it portrays. These works are partially constructed from scrap material recovered from the original Plant Bath.”
