Proposed Street Closure

1847 des Épinettes Avenue

The Council of the City of Ottawa proposes to close a portion of an existing 15 metres x 15 metres sight triangle on the northeast corner of the intersection of des Épinettes Avenue and Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard.

The purpose of the street or lane closure is to close formally a portion of the existing sight triangle to accommodate the future expansion of the existing Delorme Waste Water Pumping Station.

The Planning Committee will hear, in person or by counsel and agent, any person who applies to be heard concerning this closure. If you have any objections, please contact in writing the undersigned on or before March 12, 2019.

Proposed Roadway Modifications 

Pursuant to By-law No. 2011–122, the City of Ottawa is providing notice to the public of its intention to approve road modifications at the following locations in accordance with the authority under By-law No. 2011-28:

10  Cope Drive

  • New bus pad on Eagleson fronting the northeast section of the development.
  • Elimination of the southbound right acceleration lane at the Eagleson Road and Cope Drive intersection.
  • Grass boulevard and multi-use pathway on the west side of Eagleson, connecting the Eagleson and Cope intersection to the existing multi-use pathway.
  • Southbound right turn lane leading into a new right-in right-out access on the west side of Eagleson Road.
  • Median break to accommodate a new full-movement, signalized access on Eagleson Road.
  • Road widening to accommodate a northbound left turn lane at the new signalized intersection.
  • Concrete sidewalk and curbs on the east Side of Eagleson Road to connect the new intersection to the existing sidewalk.

Albert Street between Bay Street and Lyon Street (383 Albert Street) 

  • Concrete sidewalk on the north side.
  • Cycle track on the north side.
  • Lay-By on the north side, approximately 33m west of Lyon Street.
  • Curb extension adjacent to the north west corner of the development.
  • Two full movement access on the north side.

Official Plan and Zoning

If a person or public body files a notice of appeal of a decision of the City of Ottawa with respect to the proposed Official Plan or Zoning By-law amendment but does not speak at the public meeting or submit their comments in writing to the City of Ottawa before the proposed amendments are adopted, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
