Proposed Street Closure

Part of Sangeet Place

The Council of the City of Ottawa proposes to close a portion of the road Sangeet Place.

The purpose of the street or lane closure is to develop the part to be closed as a residential lot within a draft approved Plan of Subdivision.

The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee will hear, in person or by counsel or agent, any person who applies to be heard concerning this closure.  If you have objections, please contact in writing the undersigned on or before September 21, 2018.

3474 St. Joseph Boulevard

The Council of the City of Ottawa proposes to close a portion of St. Joseph Boulevard and convey it to the owner of 3474 St. Joseph Boulevard.

The purpose of the street or lane closure is to consider the formal closing of the affected road allowance.

The Planning Committee will hear, in person or by counsel or agent, any person who applies to be heard concerning this closure.  If you have objections, please contact in writing the undersigned on or before 9 August 2018.

Proposed Roadway Modifications

Pursuant to By-law No. 2011–122, the City of Ottawa is providing notice to the public of its intention to approve road modifications at the following locations in accordance with the authority under By-law No. 2011-28:

Boundary Road, North of Mitch Owens Road

  • Full movement site access on Boundary Road
  • Road widening to accommodate the proposed southbound left-turn lane on Boundary Road at the site access

Boundary Road and Thunder Road

  • New site access and traffic signal on Boundary Road at Thunder Road
  • New eastbound right-turn channel, northbound left-turn lane and traffic signal on Boundary Road at the south Highway 417 ramp
  • New site truck access on Boundary Road, south of Thunder Road
  • New auxiliary lanes on Boundary Road at the site accesses

Hawthorne Road and Hunt Club Road  

  • One right-in/ right-out access on Hawthorne Road and one right-out egress on Hunt Club Road
  • Extension of the existing median on Hawthorne Road
  • Extension of the existing right-turn lane on Hawthorne Road to accommodate the right-in/ right-out access
  • Reconstruct the southbound right- turn channel on Hawthorne Road into a smart channel
  • Upgrade the existing substandard sidewalk on the west side of Hawthorne Road and north side of Hunt Club Road to a concrete sidewalk as per City standards.

Official Plan and Zoning

If a person or public body files a notice of appeal of a decision of the City of Ottawa with respect to the proposed Official Plan or Zoning By-law amendment but does not speak at the public meeting or submit their comments in writing to the City of Ottawa before the proposed amendments are adopted, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
