The City reminds residents the payment deadline for their final property tax is Thursday, June 20.

Here are some convenient options to pay your final property tax bill:

If residents need more information:

Late penalty charges

It’s important to note that a penalty charge of 1.25 per cent for late payment is added the day following the due date and the first day of each month thereafter.

Protect yourself, be aware of potential texting scams

Increasingly, people receive text messages from imposters posing as a delivery company, financial institution and even the City of Ottawa.  Remember, the City does not send text messages about late payments, including property taxes, water utility bills, and provincial offence tickets – such as parking, speeding and red-light cameras.  Protect yourself. If you receive a text message, delete it. Do not click on any links and never provide any personal or financial information.
