We have developed a new concept plan for a community hub at 1010 Somerset and want to hear from you! Visit Engage Ottawa to review the final concept plan, register for an upcoming virtual consultation session or share your feedback with the Project Team.

After a thorough review of the feedback received in the first round of public engagement, the proposed concept plan for 1010 Somerset has been updated to ensure that the site meets the current and future needs of the community. These changes will require an Official Plan Amendment and we want to hear your feedback first.

The new objectives proposed in the final concept plan are:

  • Preserving Plouffe Park and new park space.
  • Adding active transportation through the site and to the Transitway.
  • Building a recreation and cultural facility to  provide an opportunity for more cultural programming.
  • Building a school with a student drop-off area to minimize traffic impacts in the area.
  • Building a child care facility.
