While the Planning, Infrastructure and Economic Development Department makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein, the reader is advised that as this publication is an office consolidation, in situations where legal accuracy is important, the By-law itself and any amending by-laws thereto must be consulted.

The Comprehensive Zoning By-law, approved June 25, 2008 by City Council, is a set of regulations to control development in the City of Ottawa. Zoning by-laws are enabled by the Ontario Planning Act, R.S.O.1990 (Section 34) to regulate the use of land and the location of buildings and structures.
