Village of Richmond Community Design Plan
The village of Richmond Community Design Plan (otherwise referred to as this Plan) guides the long-term growth and day-to-day land use planning decisions for the village of Richmond. The Plan was initiated in 2008, partially in response to the growing interest among residents and landowners about how the village should develop. Further, the policies contained in the Ashton, Munster and Richmond Secondary Plan 2003, stated that a servicing study was required when the village population reaches 4,500 people which it is close to achieving now. The Plan was also initiated to plan for growth in the Future Development Lands referred to in this Plan as the Western and Northeast Development Lands.
