Steve Cain - The White Shirt Project

July 25 to September 17, 2024
Vernissage:
Thursday, July 25, 2024, 5:30 - 7:30 pm

One white shirt, chosen at random, inadvertently became the subject of a photographic project raising thousands of dollars for a local charity. Some of the images have since won provincial, national, and international awards, and all of the images collected to-date are now the subject of a coffee table book.

Steve Cain holds a Master of Photographic Arts designation through the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPoC), was 2020’s Ontario Commercial Photographer of the Year, and past chair of the PPoC Eastern Ontario Branch. With about 30 years of experience, he’s mentored photographers, been a guest speaker, and presented at professional photography conferences.

The image shows a couple sitting in their living room, the man with a remote and the woman sewing, enjoying a quiet evening together.
