The Ontario Works program provides financial and employment assistance for people who don’t have enough money for food and housing and other basic needs. If you suspect someone of receiving assistance to which they are not entitled, you can file a report.
What you need
Gather information on the person you suspect of fraud. This may include their:
- Date of birth
- Name of spouse and/or child(ren)
- Address and phone number
- Details of suspected fraud
- Documents to support the suspected fraud
You will get an email confirming we received the report.
City staff are bound by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. They cannot discuss the results of a fraud investigation with the person who filed the complaint.
