About City Wide Sports

Leveling the playing field

Founded in 1985, City Wide Sports aims to change lives through sport by opening opportunities for Ottawa residents to experience sport and physical activity. We strive to reduce age, gender and financial barriers, and work with our partners to ease access to participation whether as players, coaches or officials.

City Wide Sports offers many ways for residents to take part, whether through specific leagues, seasonal registered programs, summer camps, drop-in skating, and the Active Living Club. These take place across the city in a variety of venues including tennis or pickleball courts, sports fields, ball diamonds, cycling paths, outdoor rinks, beaches, and hiking trails as well as Terry Fox Athletic Facility and Mooney’s Bay Ski Centre. Indoor locations include school gyms, community centres and stand-alone arenas.
