Leaf and yard waste must be set out separately from the green bin in brown paper bags or in an acceptable reusable container labelled ‘Leaf and Yard Waste’. Acceptable containers are outlined in Schedule D of the Solid Waste Services By-Law No.2024-453.
Leaf and yard waste is collected weekly. Your waste may not have been collected if:
- It was contained in your green bin or in plastic bags
- Any material or tree cuttings were over 7 cm or 3 inches in diameter
- It was mixed with any other type of material. Please note: Dog waste is not permitted in your leaf and yard waste bags or leaf and yard waste container.
If your request concerns a missed collection, all material must remain at the curb to be collected once reported.
