Nepean Sportsplex

The Nepean Sportsplex is a multi-purpose facility serving residents and visitors to Ottawa for over 40 years. The Nepean Sportsplex hosts 30-plus regional, provincial, national and international sporting events as well as 35 special events per year. Our facility serves over 1.5 million clients annually, who enjoy any of the following amenities: an impressive aquatic centre with a 50 metre Olympic pool with diving towers and springboards, a 25 metre family pool, a children’s wading pool and a therapeutic whirlpool. The centre also features three North American size rinks, including the Yzerman and the Allen J. MacDonald arenas, a 10 sheet curling centre, a 3,000 sq. feet weight room and fitness centre including four squash courts, a studio and gymnasium as well as a large outdoor Sportsfields area featuring two baseball diamonds, a soccer field, the Minto sports field turf, a lawn bowling turf and pavilion as well as outdoor fitness trails.

With 18 meeting and banquet rooms ranging from 468 to 8,640 sq.ft. and available space of 62,000 sq.ft.for conventions, the Nepean Sportsplex has become known as a top-notch location to hold tradeshows and special events including the annual Christmas craft show.

Our Seniors Centre offers activities for retired adults 50+, while the Visual Arts Centre provides all levels of visual arts programs. General interest programs complete the options available.

Birthday party packages

Our themed parties come with a qualified and energetic City of Ottawa program leader, or as we call them, Party Host, as well as a party room and crafts and games or both!

All parties are 2 hours long. You are welcome to come 15 minutes early to decorate. The first hour of the party is coordinated by our Party Host. The second hour is set aside for you to serve food, cake and presents in the party room. Our Party host stays with you throughout the second hour to help you with party activities. 

The themed birthday parties are available from September to June.

Dates and times are on a first come first serve basis so book early for more options.

Children will get the royal treatment or go on a hunt for treasure.

Children will enjoy the ultimate experience with music, crafts, games and more.

Ball hockey party
An all-out hour of fun playing ball hockey in the gymnasium.

Sports spectacular
Pick up to three sports for children to play during the hour in the gymnasium. Sports include soccer, dodge ball, ball hockey, basketball and more.

Children will get to have a Nerf® battle among friends. You supply the equipment and we supply the gym and games.

Extreme survivor party
Teams compete in a series of group challenges. Who will be the ultimate survivor?

Create your own adventure
Do you have a special theme that highlights your child's interest? We are here to put your plan into action.

Dance party
Children will groove to the music with a mini lesson in hip hop, tap, jazz, ballet or creative movement.

Curling Centre

The Nepean Sportsplex Curling Centre is the only public curling facility in the Ottawa area welcoming all levels of curlers. Join one of our many leagues or pay as you play.
