Compliance Summary Report
A Compliance Report provides owners and/or their authorized agents with information regarding a property's status with respect to compliance with development by-laws or agreements and a summary of building permit activity. Compliance Reports are typically requested as a result of a possible sale or refinancing of a building or property.
Compliance Reports By-law No. 2003-069
The Compliance Summary Report provides information regarding issued building permits on file, the status of occupancy permits/final inspections and any outstanding orders/complaints as they relate to the Ontario Building Code, Zoning By-law and/or Property Standards By-law.
Report on compliance
The Report on Compliance provides information about issued building permits on file, the status of Occupancy Permits/final inspections and any outstanding orders/complaints as they relate to the Ontario Building Code, Zoning By-law and/or Property Standards By-law. This report also identifies and explains the property's zoning designation and provides feedback on whether the current use, as provided, conforms to the applicable Zoning By-law. When an application includes a plan of survey signed and dated by an Ontario Land Surveyor, the report will also comment on the conformity of existing building setbacks within the setback provisions in the associated Zoning By-law.
Update report on compliance
An Update Report on Compliance is typically requested as a result of outstanding inspections, open orders, or submission of a survey. An Update must be requested within 90 days of the original report, otherwise a new application for a Summary or Zoning Compliance Report is required.
Report on compliance with agreement
The Report on Compliance with Agreement summarizes the status of development agreements (i.e.: Subdivision, Site Plan Control and Demolition Control) that are associated with a property, or a development. The agreement is circulated to appropriate city departments to verify whether requirements or conditions in the agreement have been fulfilled. Any outstanding issues or deficiencies discovered from the review are identified in the report along with contact names.
Pool Enclosure Compliance Report
The Pool Enclosure Compliance Report provides information from available records on the Pool Enclosure Permit, inspection reports and any outstanding Notices of Violation/Orders. The Pool Enclosure Compliance Report requires an inspection with permission obtained from the property owner by the Applicant. The inspection confirms the regulatory compliance of the existing pool enclosure, including whether it is equipped with self-closing, self-latching and locking device(s) which ensures the gate can be kept locked at all times except when in use.
Request for release of agreement
The Release of Agreement report provides an applicant with written confirmation advising whether agreements associated with a property or a development can be released from title (i.e. Site Plan Control or Demolition Control Agreements). The Request for a Release of Agreement Report is circulated to appropriate city departments with to confirm whether or not a release is supported.
The applicant is notified in writing whether approval for the release has been granted or denied. An explanation will be provided when approval has not been granted, Should the agreement be approved for release, the applicant will be instructed to contact the City's Legal Services Branch (a separate fee may be applicable) to request the release of the agreement from title.
