A Compliance Report provides owners and/or their authorized agents with information regarding a property's status with respect to compliance with development by-laws or agreements and a summary of building permit activity. Compliance Reports are typically requested as a result of a possible sale or refinancing of a building or property.

The Report on Compliance provides information about issued building permits on file, the status of Occupancy Permits/final inspections and any outstanding orders/complaints as they relate to the Ontario Building Code, Zoning By-law and/or Property Standards By-law. This report also identifies and explains the property's zoning designation and provides feedback on whether the current use, as provided, conforms to the applicable Zoning By-law. When an application includes a plan of survey signed and dated by an Ontario Land Surveyor, the report will also comment on the conformity of existing building setbacks within the setback provisions in the associated Zoning By-law.
An Update Report on Compliance is typically requested as a result of outstanding inspections, open orders, or submission of a survey. An Update must be requested within 90 days of the original report, otherwise a new application for a Summary or Zoning Compliance Report is required.
